Toni formed Corbella Counseling in 2009.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and National Certified Counselor.

Toni has experience in a variety of settings.  While at the University of North Texas,, she focused on treating adults.  At the end of that program, she decided to also take advantage of the opportunity to study Play Therapy.  She completed her internship at Galaxy Counseling Center, a non-profit organization, where she conducted play therapy, adult, couples, and family therapy.  She also co-led their adult anger-management group.

At Therapy on the Square, a private practice in McKinney, Texas which is owned and operated by her former Play Therapy professor, she completed 3000 post-graduate hours where she counseled adults, couples, and children dealing with such concerns as grief, divorce, co-parenting, anger management, self-esteem, abuse, trauma, and relationship conflicts.  Additionally, she conducted social skills groups and child-parent relationship training groups.  She has spoken to dozens of organizations across the metroplex on various topics including relationships, parenting, and insight into children’s behaviors.

Her continued desire to learn more led her to Dr. Terry Kottman, the creator of Adlerian Play Therapy.  While running her private practice, she also traveled frequently for extensive training under the direct instruction of Dr. Kottman.  Toni now provides basic, intermediate, and advanced trainings on this topic to interns and fellow colleagues.  She has been the keynote speaker for the Texas Association for Play Therapy annual conference in 2016 & 2017.

She also spent time traveling to Seattle, Washington and completed the Level I Gottman Couples Therapy Training.  Her subsequent trips to Seattle Seattle included training to become a Gottman Authorized Leader for The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work and Bringing Baby Home, 2 workshops which are held throughout the year for couples and expecting/new parents.

Unwavering passion and dedication to helping others is the heart of her practice.
