EXPERIENCE
Toni formed Corbella Counseling in 2009. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and National Certified Counselor.
Toni brings a unique energy to all of her clients from 3-year-olds to adults, parents, couples and families. She pours a great deal of care into each of her cases as well as the cases of her employees. She believes in treating the whole person which sometimes includes bringing other family members into the play sessions or adult sessions, visiting their schools or communicating with teachers.
She is especially skilled at working with parents, often helping them navigate more difficult situations such as, illness, divorce, blending families, discipline, and many others.
Her continued desire to learn more led her to Dr. Terry Kottman, the creator of Adlerian Play Therapy. While running her private practice, she also traveled frequently for extensive training under the direct instruction of Dr. Kottman. Toni now provides basic, intermediate, and advanced trainings on this topic to interns and fellow colleagues.
She also spent time traveling to Seattle, Washington and completed the Level I Gottman Couples Therapy Training. Her subsequent trips to Seattle Seattle included training to become a Gottman Authorized Leader for The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work and Bringing Baby Home, 2 workshops which are held throughout the year for couples and expecting/new parents.
She has spoken to dozens of parenting groups, couples, & organizations across the metroplex on various topics including relationships, parenting, and insight into children’s behaviors. She was the keynote speaker for the Texas Association for Play Therapy annual conference in 2016 & 2017 and chosen as the presenter for The Marriage Project at Highland Park United Methodist Church in 2019.
She served as the President of the North Texas Chapter for the Texas Association for Play Therapy (2022-2023).

ABOUT
Toni has a 19-year-old son. She loves doing therapy with Adler, her 7-year-old golden retriever. When she is not at the office, you can probably find her spending time with her son, her sisters, or her friends. She also enjoys watching football, playing golf, traveling, reading, and learning something new.
