EXPERIENCE

Michelle (Shelli) Law has a tremendous passion for working with survivors of narcissistic abuse
and individuals navigating relationships marked by coercive control, emotional manipulation, or
family-of-origin trauma. In 2024, she had the distinct privilege of traveling to London to train
with one of the world’s leading experts in the field, Dr. Ramani Durvasula. This advanced
training deepened her clinical insight and commitment to working with survivors on their healing
journeys.

She is passionate about creating a supportive and empathetic space for women, children,
adolescents, and families to process their experiences and move toward healing. With a
background in child development, education, and trauma-informed care, she brings a grounded,
creative, and compassionate presence to her work, helping clients reclaim a sense of safety, selfworth,
and connection.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of
Alabama at Birmingham and is a Certified Child Life Specialist. Her professional journey
includes several years of experience as an educator, as well as work in both healthcare and
classroom settings. She served as a Child Life Specialist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, supporting
children and families through complex medical experiences. Most recently, she worked in the
kindergarten classroom at The DaVinci School, where she developed the STEAM curriculum
and designed and implemented the school’s new Maker Space.

In addition to her work in education and healthcare, Michelle owned and operated her own
business as a certified Family Coach, working closely with families whose children had recently
been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning
differences. Through this work, she supported parents in navigating next steps, advocating for
their children, and building routines and environments that fostered connection and growth.
Currently pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest
University, Michelle integrates developmental, attachment-based, and trauma-informed
approaches into her clinical work. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR). She holds certifications as a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician
(NATC).

Michelle is dedicated to walking alongside her clients with compassion and clinical insight,
believing strongly in each person’s capacity for growth, resilience, and healing.
Family:
Michelle has been happily married for 30 years and is the proud parent of three (mostly grown)
children: a SCAD graduate who now teaches art, a Purdue engineering graduate, and one still in
high school. Her own experiences as a parent and partner deeply inform her work with families
and individuals navigating complex relational dynamics.

Community:
Outside of her clinical and academic work, Shelli is actively engaged in her community. She
volunteers with Ronald McDonald House, Community Partners of Dallas, and Meals on Wheels
through the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL), reflecting her heart for service and
connection beyond the therapy room. She also has a deep passion for creative problem solving
and has spent over a decade fostering innovation and teamwork by managing Destination
Imagination teams of all ages. She served on the board of Destination Imagination and acted as
both a liaison and team manager trainer for HPISD.
